Sunset Sweater

Sunset Sweater is a seamless, top-down knitted brioche sweater combining color with embroidery details. The fit is classic, with some ease over bust/chest.

 

Sleeves are cast on as you work and follow shoulders nicely. The width and length of body and sleeves can be change according to preferences.

 

Work in single color, two-color-brioche or – like me – go crazy with a four-color-brioche pattern, the choice is all yours!

GOOD TO KNOW

Size: XS, S, M (L, XL, 2XL) [3XL, 4XL, 5XL] with bust/hip/seat circumference: 83, 93, 104 (114, 124, 134) [144, 154, 165] cm

 

Yarn: Fingering weight or sock yarn.

​

Yardage: Total yardage is 1130, 1280, 1400 (1540, 1680, 1850) [2010, 2180, 2340] meters

​

Reference photo: Fingering Merion-Nylon 85/15 is used.

Color A: Purple, 25% of total yardage
Color B: Pink, 25% of total yardage
Color C: Orange, 25% of total yardage
Color D: Yellow, 25% of total yardage

Gauge: 16-18 stitches/22 rows = 10cm in brioche stitch (measured after blocking). The gauge will affect the result (size and yardage).

​

Needles: 3.5mm needles with 60cm cables. Circular needles with shorter cables or 5 double-pointed needles may be used for sleeves.

 

Extras: 6 markers, spare yarn or two second pair of circular needles for separating sleeves from main body, one darning needle to weave in yarn ends and make chin stitch embrodery, tape measure
